Dog Socialization Groups in North Port, FL

Force-Free Training

Positive Reinforcement

All Breeds. All Ages.

Socialization is about more than simply putting dogs together. These six-week groups help you better understand your dog’s body language, build confidence and trust, practice everyday skills, and learn how to respond appropriately around people, dogs, distractions, and new environments.

Can Socialization Help Your Dog Feel More Confident?

New people? Other dogs? Unfamiliar places, objects, and everyday distractions?

Yes. Let’s prepare your dog for the greater world out there!

What You’ll Learn During the Six-Week Experience

At the end of this six-week experience, you will be able to identify and assess, through canine body language, what your dog is communicating to you.

You will learn loose-leash walking as well as basic commands including sit, down, stay, come, heel, place, drop it, and touch.

You will also learn about your dog’s need and desire for exercise and canine enrichment, what best fits you, your dog, and your home, and how rules, boundaries, and routine fit into everyday life.

We will discuss how to help your dog relax and enjoy closeness with you and your family using body-handling techniques.

You will also learn healthy socialization practices, including how to introduce your dog to people, other dogs, and novel objects.

Throughout the experience, we work on building confidence, trust, and mutual respect while learning how to respond correctly and effectively to reactivity or overstimulation.
